Decide what the books need from a repair order
Not everything. The books need the invoice total, the split between parts and labor, the sales tax on parts, the customer and the date. The plate, the mileage, the technician and the inspection findings belong on the repair order and are noise in a ledger.
Match the accounts before the first sync, not after
Parts revenue, labor revenue, shop supplies, disposal fees and sales tax payable each need a named account on both sides. Doing this once, deliberately, is twenty minutes; discovering it two hundred invoices in means a reconciliation nobody has time for.
Reconcile one week by hand, once
Take a single week of tickets, add the totals by hand, and compare them with what landed in the books. If the two agree you can trust the sync from then on. If they do not, you have found the mapping error while it is still one week wide.
